Home education is simply conducting learning discussion at home. According to the latest statistics, there are about 2 million students that are homeschooled in America alone and the figures are rapidly increasing.

Before the enormous academic institutions has even started, the home school education system has begun. As the old adage goes, “the home is the first school of children while their parents are their first teacher” holds so much truth. Surely, parents play an important role as the priary educators. Lessons and topics must be taught in a clear and interesting manner.

What is good about this approach is the relationship between parent and child is developed. Rapport and bonding are deepened by their mutual understanding and familiarization. Apparently, it is easier for parents and tutors to customize the discussion because they can simply identify the child’s interests and individual learning needs. They are also able to monitor their children and work with them closely. The following are found to benefit and create impact on homeschooled children and parents as well:

1. Individualized Attention – the most effective benefit of home schooling is that child enjoy the privilege of having a “teacher” closely and solely focusing on the child’s progress

2. Freedom to Diversify – Parents and tutors can customize the lessons according to what they feel and think is right to teach the child. Parents should take note that Home school education still follows particular federal policies and laws.

3. Social Adjustment – Children find extra-curricular activities exciting and fun. Incorporating field trip with cousins of same age, or trip to museums with a kid next door is a fun way to learn. It will also help children overcome lack of social interaction as critics say of this method of teaching.

4. Family Bonding – as compared to traditional schools, since home schooled children stay with their parents most of the time, there are more time for family bonding

5. A Good Education – this is not applicable to academics only but also with the values and morals formation of the child

When considering this approach to your children, it helps that the entire family is involved in the decision – making process as well the discussions, activities and other home school components (such as field trips, trip to museum, zoos and playgrounds) as well. Also, assessing your financial capacity will help you visualize the amount you are willing to shell out for home school education. If having financial issues, there are free downloadable home school materials found in the internet. Families who have tried home schooling have good lessons and experiences to share. So talking to these families will help you visualize what you are putting yourself into.

Truly, for home school education to work, parents need to be sensitive and conscious to the child’s needs. Although it has been proven that this type of methodology is beneficial to children, the parent must always assess the development of the child to make sure that the home school education fits their children.

1. It is not boring as all get out.

I May 1 and a half years my education in public schools. There are moments that I enjoyed learning things and talking to my friends. Secondly, although there were long stretches of monotony and boredom. And it was only in primary school! I can not even imagine what it would have been like in the middle and high school. I vaguely remember a class I took at the sixth grade before I started school at home. “Conflict resolution” they called it. It was a class we had to sit for 50 minutes a day about how not to get into a fight. Instead of learning something useful, like mathematics, history or science, we had to sit down and go into a fight was not good for anyone to learn.

I think it goes without saying that homeschooling is much more interesting. I was either something to do and learn, if I enjoying my free time. I’ve never had to sit for long periods of monotony of lectures or watching a blackboard, while a teacher under the weaker students in the classroom. I could learn at my own pace and enjoy.

2. Nobody gives you wedgie.

Unless, of course, you have a brother or sister and then you might get more than you can handle wedges. One of the great things of being homeschooled is that there is no delicate social structure that you see for yourself in shape. Unless you live in a family very complicated, there is no intimidation, no drug addicts, and so on.

Again, the advantage is that you do not have to treat, but also what you get. Being homeschooled allowed me a much stronger relationship with my parents and my brothers and sisters to grow, and have a variety of friends from our homeschool group and church, and so on. I thought when I started college, I was able to communicate comfortably with everyone from the older student (some are even grandparents, returning from their studies) for younger students and even faculty and staff. None of these people never gave me a Wedgy.

3. Chances are your teacher will probably want you.

Personally, I never have problems with a teacher who does not seem to like or treatable, but I know that these experiences there. Increase the chances, I think, if you are in school you might have a teacher or you do not like, or you do not like for whatever reason. I would not say it’s something personal, but sometimes there are personality conflicts.

On the other hand, I think you will enjoy home-schooling, because you’re capable of a deeper relationship with your parents to develop. Instead of coming home from school and just say what you did (if you can not even remember all the details) you live with them.

What makes homeschooling better than traditional schools? Lately, there is a rising trend in families choosing home of their child than send their child to a traditional school.

Let us examine a few of the benefits of homeschooling over traditional education:

1. Flexible scheduling

Homeschooling allows a flexible schedule. For example, if the child does not need to wake up at 7:00 in the morning. With homeschooling, your child can start homeschooling at 9am or later depending on your preferred schedule. You can track your child’s education homeschooling as you like with materials or subjects not available in a traditional school.

You can homeschool curriculum tailored to the needs and interests of your child adjust.

2. Individual attention

In a traditional school, thirty to forty students are assigned to a teacher in the classroom. Therefore, in general, the teacher can not be 100 per cent attention to each child, because it is not fair to other children. Moreover, it is absolutely impossible to give individual attention to all students.

With homeschooling, your child receives all the individual attention he needs. For example, if your child is weak in mathematics, you might have more time and energy stabbed in the teaching of mathematics.

Homeschooling your child’s schedule can be adapted to the crater for it. For example, if your child is better in science than in mathematics, homeschooling simple math spend more hours and reducing sciences. With homeschooling, the choice is yours. Traditional schools can not.

3. Family Activity

The training of the child may become an activity of the extended family. Examples include excursions and experiences. In addition, the child receives more quality time with his parents. More time for family bonding. The child is also free of any negative peer pressure or influence.

4. No peer pressure

With homeschooling, the child does not need to prove its capacity to other children. Parents are able to deeply understand their child better with homeschooling and therefore able to plan the program’s strengths and weaknesses.

Parents can also modify the program for the learning style of the child to adapt. For example, some children learn best by reading, while others need to write. Some children, even the chance to discover or see things in action.

5. Religion Learning

religious learning is a sensitive issue is the most avoided traditional schools. However, with homeschooling, parents can control the religious and moral training of children. Parents can express their core beliefs and ideologies of the child rather than the school that the religious and moral education of the child will receive.

Homeschooling is the best way to educate a child you can see the benefits listed below. When you have time, interest and ability, why not try?
